Day #30 End of Jam

Finally here. The day it ends. I didn't work much on the game the last few days. A bit has to do with an university exam I have on monday for which I'm studying now. Another bit has to do with procrastination and loss of motivation (although I would say it's more about having less and less exciting new things to work on and more and more polish needed).

I'm not abandoning the project. I even want to keep going forward, but I have some major refactoring to do. For one, the AI is horribly placeholder, stitched together by the fact I wanted to add some life to the project. I'm happy with the inventory, but the icons and items need to be adjusted to fit a modern style, not an RPG style. I'm truly happy with the dialogue (I'd like to add quest-reward giving). The environment is a mess of Y sorting I need to fix. And add interactible objects, stationary and stealable.

As for the future, I'm going to work on other projects for now, and start revisiting my jam games as I mature into game development. As a note to that though, I'm doing this as a hobby, and I don't intend to take it super seriously for the time being. Having said that, I'm interested in finished project and thus game jams. This one I handled as a playground to play around features that killed some of my previous projects. I want to finish and polish all of my projects.

Thank you for hosting this jam and promote my habit. Although I didn't post here, I worked on an app I had wanted to make as a website, but that I started working on in Godot. And I'm starting other projects soon.
