Day #16 Owner basic animations
Yesterday was the first day I didn't work on the game so far into the jam. It was meant to be about the owner, instead released today. But I needed to rest from both university and the jam, so I'll allow myself a middle break. Today I only worked on some basic animations but that's all I'll do for the owner for this vertical slice.
Next up on the list will be work on level design. I envisioned at first that you'd go around a neibourhood from the streets to back entrances, gardens, and finally houses with varying degrees of dificulty of entry. For this build I'll stick with just the one home, one guard, owner, and pet. Though I plan on adding more in the future.
The layout will be improvised but a street bordering the target home, garden and home itself are due to start tomorrow tomorrow. I'll add the sprites for the environment as I go deeper into the month. Taking into account that all of this is pure programmer art born of the need for quick assets.
